As for RAM, I already have some Vengeance that I will use.

What do you guys think?

Card reader is not a must, but would be handy

I'd probably leave it out of the build boss. If they really need one I'd consider a USB reader instead (easy to use on multiple machines). The Prodigy and the CM 120 (I'd prefer the 130) cases lack the 3.5inch bay (which has been dropped on a lot of cases to be fair). You can buy an adapter plate but then you lose the bay for use of the optical drive.

The 1600Mhz RAM is good enough, you can try OC'ing it as it's not naff RAM.If you can squeeze in an SSD it will make the rig seriously snappy. Both these mini-itx mobos offer wifi and bluetooth. Most people populate the PCI-E slot with a GPU but maybe she'd like to add a TV tuner later perhaps?

I've done a lot of builds with the A8K, makes for a very good all round home PC and can even do light gaming (even with 1600Mhz RAM but faster helps). Best of luck with the build, god forbid you have any issues you know where to find us :)
