R9 390 or Rx 570 / Rx 580 ?

As I'm getting to the stage of adding a new SSD, thought id change my Nvidia back to and because of my Freesync monitor

I've heard the 390 is equivalent to the gtx970 , but I'm now seeing the 570/580 coming down in price to match more or less

Is the 570/580 much better?

I have both the 970 and the 390x, my 390x is faster than my 970 all around. in all tests the 580 is a little quicker than the 390x,I think it's down to the slightly faster clocks

The 900 series tanked in performance once dx12 got released as it lacked proper async compute. I remember my 970 being awful in Hitman, but the 480 I replaced it with was totally smooth.

This November. Mind you, it's not going to be a new arch, it's just RX 580 +10% more performance, maybe slightly less power consumption. That's all. Perhaps more luck with memory OC as well, but that's speculation on my part.

I had a 390 up until August of this year and it was a great 1080p card, outperformed the 970 mostly and gives the 480 a run for it's money. You can pick them up for around £100 now on fleabay.

Is it likely the current PowerColour RX 580 will drop in price when this happens? Just about to buy one but might hold out a few weeks

If you want to get it, I'd advise you to buy now since from Monday the bundle won't be granted with new card purchases anymore.

Was waiting for the monitor in my basket to drop again in price (recently went up another £20 this week) but if I’m getting three free games my build is getting ordered tomorrow! Thanks

You're supposed to get an e-mail with a link for them, afaik. If you don't get them then contact CS and talk to them about it, I'm sure they'll sort it out.
