Hi all,

I've downgraded my computer and went from 4k to 1080p 144hz monitor ( got it cheap I'm happy with 60hz) and I've bought an msi gtx 980 non Ti.

Now I've been offered £200 + a r9 fury nitro for my gtx 1080.

A, is that a good deal?
B, if so what should I keep? I'm leaving towards the 980 as it's lower power, better at 1080p overclocks much better.

What's your thoughts? With AMD drivers and vulkan etc would you expect the fury to easily best the 980 in 2019? Or would the 980 need a serious overclock to keep up?

They're more or less equal. There'll be a 10% performance advantage for either of them depending on the game, but not more than that generally. I don't think you'll be able to sell the Fury for £100, while the 1080 could go for £300 I reckon.

Do you want to play at 50-60fps? If so get it. Nitro if remember correctly had a 10% better perf over reference so you could be in FuryX/980Ti area.
Personally keep what you have.
