Bought my sister this game to play as she likes platformers, but on her PS3 it says that it can't load due to insufficient space and the game needs 400mb or so (she has way way way more than that free). I've googled and it said that you have to either add or delete 500mb from the hard drive and it should then play fine. That's not really doable since her PS3 is not connected to the internet and there is only saved games on the drive.

Any ideas how to get around it? I've tried googling but all I'm getting is this add or remove 500mb rubbish.

All i can suggest is try and get it connected to the net. Iirc there's a small patch that fixes that issue so if you could get it hooked up for even a little while it'd do the job.

Cheers.

Yeah I think that's probably the only option after googling more. I brought the game back home to try on my PS3 and it's doing the same on my Slim, and this one is hooked up to the internet and it never gave me the option to patch the game. I don't suppose I could download a demo from the net at my home to my PS3, and maybe shove it on a usb stick and then just put the demo on her PS3?

Not sure if that's doable.

This was a common issue that seems to affect some PS3s and not others, could be the version of the game. Anyway what it is is that R&C does a small install in the background and looks for space, When this occurs, either delete or add about 500 MB of data to your hard drive and the problem will go away.
