Racism

This thread is full of Racism...

Being Asian myself go through it every other day... and to be honest dont give a flying monkey ****.... Because im soo use to it. Goes through one ear and goes through the other one. Enough said.

Where as a White guy.... It will be " OMG OMG suxoRs, **X*** n00b w00t haXzoR" the lot...

How is that trolling you idiot.

90% of the black people I know are extremely paranoid people. It's a stupid rant. Raciscm exists. It's a well known fact. It's a rare rare thing to find a black person who is not paranoid. They just don't think we as white people treat them the same. You always see it on the TV, Radio etc, Any kind of racism towards a black person / asian it is heavily punished / criticised. But when someone is racist to a WHITE person it's completely different rules. I don't care if they are a minority.

Racism will always exist until the world is over. Accept it and stop your moaning. We can debate for pages and pages but still will end up with nothing.

Stick your "trolling" comment up your jacksy. Don't start a controversial thread and not expect strong opinions in return.

You are accusing me of being racist? Wow.

Removed.

Woah dude i suggest you chill out and cut out the personal attacks...why you getting all worked up for??

Sadly racism exists and will never stop existing...ive went through enough racism myself..growing up in a small canadian town where me and my 2 brothers were the only 'brownies' and were constantly reminded of that little fact...but we coped well enough and defended ourselves when the need arose. Personally doesnt bother me if someone calls me a **** or whatever derogatory word they feel the need to use...makes me laugh that people have to resort to such names.

Cultural differences, such as lifestyle, religion, dress and so on.

While it's true cultural differences exist (and there's probably a debate about how important they are) that wasn't quite the point being made - Ketheridge specifically said that we're different because we look different. At a fundamental level there is, I'm led to believe, more genetic difference between those within the common conception of a single race (i.e. based on skin colour), than between races - that's of course presuming we accept the concept of races with some form of (as yet unfounded) hard demarcation, we're more like a sliding scale as far as I can tell with no clear distinctions to be drawn.

Essentially looks or skin colour is a pretty useless metric for determining anything much of value about the person so I don't think it should be in any way important. People are good, bad or indifferent independent of what colour skin they are or where they happen to have grown up.

Problem is in times of austerity and recession people look to blame someone and the easiest target for our ire is the immigrant or social group least like your own.

This is true and it's wrong that it should be so, the problems would exist with or without immigrants or social groups unlike our (my) own.

I call my mates plenty of things that I wouldn't call strangers, it's not that difficult to understand.
exactly !

does he think everyone who is black goes round shouting it at each other ? I have black mates who would find it massively offending even coming from close mate of the same race.

whats with the silly horse/zebra comparison in OP too ? try comparing a brown horse and a white horse , of the same breed. they are equal

every day ? really ? Obviously racism exists and infact happens quite frequently in this country but i cant imagine it every day.

dont get your last sentence either

Is it just me or is it plainly obvious that a racial divide exists more and more in this country due to people constantly harping on about how "We're all the same".

We are clearly not all the same. Is a zebra and a horse the same? No. Why? Because they look very different. So do white, black, chinese and indian people.

Sick of these white politically correct warriors who think they're doing the ethnic minority a favour. The ethnic minority KNOW they are different, they DO NOT care, they HAVE dealt with it, why can't you?

I don't think you know what racism is.

Either you believe your own post, which makes you a fool, or you don't, which makes you a troll.

If you do believe your own post, try learning even a tiny amount about biology before trying to use it in an argument. That would stop you looking so stupid and ignorant.

Then try learning something about logic and reason, because you're coming up short on that too.

I'm arguing that each individual is different.

You're arguing that many millions of people are all the same because you put them into what you think of as the same race(*).

Then you criticise me for arguing "all the same".

If that makes sense to you, you're insane.

* You're clearly thinking of humanity being made up of various species, not races, but that's only because of the enormity of your ignorance of biology.

Diversity is accepting that we are all different with our own skills and life experiences.
Equality is not treating everybody equally (which is impossible) but instead trying to give everybody the same opportunities.

That's your opinion. It's also some of the PR spin on the subject, which bears no resemblence to the content.

It's the opposite to everything I've been taught by everyone working in the "equality" and "diversity" industry. It's a Newspeak kind of thing, where words are used to mean the opposite of their normal meaning for political purposes. So "diversity and equality" means ignoring and suppressing true diversity, defining and judging everyone on the basis of whatever criteria the prevaling bigots think are of paramount importance (sex and "race" are always common ones), believing that "they're all the same" based on whatever prejudiced stereotypes the prevailing bigots attach to the groups they define (i.e. suppressing diversity) and promoting discrimination on the basis of those criteria.
