Racist incident forces family to move

I take it you use the term "racist" loosely? :p

It's extremely funny, but I can't help feeling a little bit sorry for the poor family... :p

The Dad is called Kevin, and his son is also named Kevin, ignoring the story would you ever give your own son your name? seems very unimaginative.

I'm sorry, but what makes the abuse of other races more important than what is happening here?

Ok, it isn't "racism", but should be treat the same way. Disgusting, how people can treat some people becuase of the way they happen to look.

As long as those gingers don't pollute our normal hair coloured gene pool we'll be ok...

SEND THEM ALL BACK!

Ehm.. they could just dye their hair ?

How would that help? They obviously already know they're ginger so they aren't suddenly going to stop because they're now black haired are they?

Plus anyway, why should they be forced to change their appearance over someone else? if I bullied you because you were ugly, would you run off and get a face transplant or would you defend who you are?

My name is William and so is my fathers and his fathers and so on up till we can remember, it's something which we pass down, and If I have children, I would intend on calling one (perferably a boy but you never know :D) William too.

I like red heads as well, Jesus doesn't so someone has to right? :)

Would you be making these childish quips if the family were bullied for being black? No? Oh what a suprise.
Your post reminds me of the sort of thing chronos or visage would post. You haven't lent them your account have you?

Move and dye at the same point in time?

They shouldn't, however they choose to run away. What's your point?

No, other posters make the same statements about Black people and believe it's appropriate to do so.

So if it's acceptable for such comments (or indeed an entire thread based around the idea) to be made about black people, why is it not acceptable when ginger people are involved?

I have ginger hair (well its going grey now as I'm an owld fella)

I used to have the micky taken at school but it was never really abusive..you just get used to it and treat it as water of a ducks back..at school everybody gets the mick taken about something

ro be honest I saw these buggers on GMTV this morning (the dad looked about 60!!) and I suspect its more to do with the fact they are chav layabouts and their kids cause havoc.

but of course its easier for the parents of scummy kids to look for an easier excuse

This is probably the root of it. Not the fact that they are red headed.

They do? Sauce? I've never seen anyone say that it is OK for black people to be here as long as they don't pollute the gene pool. Perhaps you can provide some evidence.....

Firstly you have a long way to go to prove it is acceptable.
Secondly why are *YOU* treating ginger people in a different way to how you treat black people? Not treating people differently based on whether they are black or not are you because it certainly appears to be the case? (Yes, it was a rhetorical question). That is the trouble with having these moral high horse standards, when you forget to apply them to all cases it is glaringly obvious.
Not OK to make fun of black people, is Ok to make fun of ginger people..... dolph that is rank hypocrisy :)
