Hi guys,

I recently built a beast of a system for my friend mostly around an i5 750 @ 4Ghz, Radeon 6970, Coolermaster Cosmos S case etc.

ATi CCC sets a max core overclock of 950.

I assumed that MSI Afterburner would be able to take it further but again, it is limited to a core clock of 950 (although at least with Afterburner I have direct access to voltage control).

I've been hearing of people running 6970s at 1Ghz core and was just wondering how this is possible? Am I missing something obvious?

Many thanks!

Tom
