Well that's not very good comparing to scores here

It's actually not to bad. 3dmark11 was a lot more about the cpu as far as score went. The 4770 at stock is probably holding them back some as well. It's still faster in Gpu score than an overclocked Titan X. That score and probably the Graphics score would look a bit different with an overclocked 5960 or just about every overclocked 6 core intel cpu.
It just looks like scaling might not be working very well if the single gpu score is accurate.
or the 480 is too slow![]()
That's certainly a possibility but with over 18000 graphics score on a single card it should do a little better in crossfire.
So far i have seen some impressive numbers and not so impressive so hopefully it comes in somewhere in the middle which should make it a good card for the money.
Anyone else think 1266 is a weird number to through us off the scent somewhat.

ah man sounds like a rebadged 290/390...
It could be that they want to break away from the norm. Check this table out and you will not see a clock that ends without a 0 or a 5.

Nvidia's recent stock clocks are always all over the place and random. Maybe AMD are using a similar boost type thing with the RX480.
r9 290
This guy explains a lot, and pretty well.
Interesting look on things and he might very well be right on some things.
I do believe he's wrong about the 470 being Polaris 11 though, as I expect a cut down Polaris 10 chip for the 470. My reasoning for this, didn't one of the laptop guys in he AMD presentation mention a Polaris 445 chip and if Polaris 11 is going to be in the 470 then what chip would be in the 445. The small size of Polaris 11 would be ideal for those tiny, efficient, laptop chips.
