Im building comp for first time, need to ask a question about the card

Ive got a Gigabyte ds4 board, Do I need to use the cable supplied with the graphics card and plug it into the pcie 12V port on the motherboard or can the power supply cable marked PCI - E just go straight to it?

The cable should have a molex and PCI-E socket, plug the molex into one of the power cables off the PSU and the PCI-E into the back of the card.

sorry molex?

So I can just use the cable straight out of the psu and plug it in to the card, theres no need to use the port on the board?

Correct.

Molex = the plugs on the end of the power cables (to your HDD/DVD etc).
