Just cleaning up the house when I heard one almighty roar which just got louder and louder. Ran out into the garden like some 5 year old to see what I think was a DC10 tanker or similar with 4 Jaguars (again I think), 2 on either wing, flying in formation really low over Aylesbury in a large, fast banked turn.

There is something just so impressive feeling the power of some jet aircraft flying low. It left in me stood in the garden in awe and brought back memories of seeing the Vulcan fly at Halton air show 20 years ago - I can't wait to see that beast fly again.

So not sure if there is an event on today, perhaps a Falklands thing going on?, but we don't usually see much in the way of aircraft on display in these parts and was certainly an impressive sight that made my morning :)

I heard a roar and looked out the window to see the red arrows in complete formation doing a slow turn away from me, very low. Had i been ready i could have got some fantastic shots of them :(

Something went over fast and low here earlier, didn't manage to see it as I'm stuck at work but it sure didn't sound like the normal air traffic for the area.

I wondered what the hell the first plane was! I'm used to the odd fast jet flying low over the outskirts of the town, but that noise was something else. I didn't get to see it, just heard something low and very loud. For a moment I though we had a airliner coming down!

I saw the second flight of aircraft, a Nimrod and 4 perhaps Tornado's in tight formation heading away in a northwesterly direction a few moments later. They had leveled out by the time they passed almost directly over my house . That really scared the blazes out of our cats too. :D

Oh and Mark66, I went to one of those old Halton Air Shows with a Vulcan fly by. That memory still stays with me too!

I know the feeling.

I remember getting myself a drink in the kitchen looking out the window and for a couple seconds I heard a massive grumble then a fighter plane (might have been a jaguar) shot past at the speed of light! Only caught a glimse of it for no more than a second!

The noise was absolutely incredible and I was replaying it in my head all day long lol

Bah, I get jets/WW planes going past be all the time :p Only live down the road from Shuttleworth Collection, if anyone's heard of it.

Just the other day I was driving home and a Lancaster flew VERY low overhead, did a few banks, and flew away again :D

I had 4 tornados fly over my work the other day in formation. Several times. They all banked stomach side in front of me. Was rather impressive. There was one chasing them too.

Had some F15's over this morning, not so unusual as I am close to Lakenheath but not very usual on a Saturday. Not sure if anything is going on this weekend.

I was in Scotland somewhere on a geology field trip and we had 2 torandos fly down the valley we were walking down, we were halfway up the side of it and they flew past at about the same height. they must have onyly neen a few hundred meters away.

it was big grin on the face cool ;)

Queens official birthday flypast. Had all 4 "waves" fly directly over a few minutes to 1. Was over at my parents and at 1 they were on tele being "reviewed" by the Q and her family.

Missing the concorde :(

Yup, that was it. I hope the old bat is happy, it caused absolute carnage for us coupled with the poor weather.

I need a drink.
