TRIM doesn't really matter with the Sandforce drives. They have their own garbage collection built in, all they need is idle time to clean up the drive(s). That works just as well in RAID 0.

Check out the OCZ forum if you're unsure.

would you be able to post the theoretical raid 0 performance underneath the single drive specs as well? (Obviously about double, but for those who like to see big numbers or can't be bothered working it out) :P

such as:

Single Drive Specs
- Capacity: 60GB
- Controller: SandForce SF-2281
- Maximum Read: 525MB/sec
- Maximum Write: 475MB/sec
- Max I/O Per Second (IOPS): 50,000 IOPS (4KB File)
- NAND Flash: Multi-Level Cell (MLC)
- Interface: SATA-III / 6Gbps (Backwards compatible with SATA-II / 3Gbps)
- TRIM Support (Requires Windows 7)
- Warranty: 3 Years

Theoretical RAID 0 Specs

- Capacity:120 GB
- Controller: SandForce SF-2281
- Maximum Read: 1.05GB/sec
- Maximum Write: 950MB/sec
- Max I/O Per Second (IOPS): 100,000 IOPS (4KB File) <---(would this be correct?)
- NAND Flash: Multi-Level Cell (MLC)
- Interface: SATA-III / 6Gbps (Backwards compatible with SATA-II / 3Gbps)
- Warranty: 3 Years

Actually you would only see a max of 50,000 IOPs with 2x drives... that figure won't double.

It will be dependant on stripe size and raid controller though... that's where the limits will be on that front i'd imagine.

I have couple raid0 questions before i buy

I read conflicting info so does trim type functions work in raid 0?
Whats the usable storage space in raid 0?

Thanks

Trim no, garbage collection (depending on the drive) yes.

Usable space will be double (for 2 drives) unless you specify additional unused space to help garbage collection on sandforce drives.
