I've just bought a leather jacket today and I've never had one before and I want to wear it today , but am scared if it will knacker it or something because of the rain... Will it be ok to go out in? :)

Incidentally, (stealing the thread slightly) I've a suaade hat, any ideas on keeping it in decent condition, it's designed as an all weather, waterproof hat, so just curious if there are any treatments etc that I can get for the suade to preserve it/get a long life

oh, and how do I go about cleaning it? >.<

Was it a cheap TKMaxx leather jacket or a decent one that cost in excess of say...£100? I think that will be the decider :p

yesh, you can get suade protector sprays.. Have a quick google.

Leather is fine in the rain.. Runs straight off :)

Leather is skin, So it's waterproof. My current Leather Jacket is 3 years old and I wear it when I cycle to work in all weather and it's fine. £250 from John Lewis if I remember correctly.
