Rainbow 6 vegas: last mission. Need help! *spoilers*

Hi guys,

finally got round to doing the last mission (dam) and have reached a point where ive spent half an hour doing the same part.

Its when you have to get your teammates to hack the computer and open the floodgates. Then a hatch opens up and about 20 enemy's pile out. Then about 15 seconds later one behind you opens up and it rains grenades I swear! I keep dying. One time it said 'you have failed to open the flood gates in time'.

Have I missed something? or gone the wrong way?

Lay down some C4 right by the garage door, and detonate it once they start coming out. Watch your back though because there's a second door which opens right behind you, but they should be easy to pick off.

Ahh good idea. I assume I need to restart the mission as I have no C4 or grenades, lol and last time i checked i couldnt find a outfitting box.

Can't quite remember if there is one, just have a look around and if you can't find one just restart.
 
That bit was difficult, but if after a few tries you'll know the timing of the different doors opening. Smoke grenade the hacker, then shoot as many heads as possible of the distant attackers. You'll have to pretty well twitch kill the 3(?) that come from behind (more smoke helps if you've got it). Shotgun's great if you have it.

That's my memory of it anyhow, was quite a while back now...I think I'm remembering the right bit...you have a level or so ahead of you yet.
 
Everyone gets stuck on this, basically its the 1/2 guys that come from behind kill the dude hacking - sort them out and all is good :D
 
Hide just behind the thing opposite the back door, send the other guy just infront of the room.

When the back door opens, lob some granades in.

Good luck with the rest of the mission, I would be more specific, with screenshots, but I'm not playing that level again. ;)
 
I got my team mate to start hacking, and made sure I was close to the Doors at the bottom of the Dam. As they were openig pelted loads of 'nades over there. Legged it back to the computer and past it to kill the 2 that come from behind. Then turned back around to squash the remaining guys coming from the bottom.

Took ages to do and got me amazingly angry :D
 
i only just finished that bit was a nightmare couldnt work out why kept failing till realised bout the 2 that come from behing. i juts ran to the corner near bottom garage lobbed grenades takin them out then using desert eagle took out the to from behiind. really frustrating bit in the game that is .

hehe it took me ages to realiase that a door opened behind us and that 2 guys came out..I was concentrating on the guys coming from the other door further away
 
Hardest bit in the game... did this a few days ago.

*I think there is an outfitting box* but I may be getting confused with the other hard bit you come across on the last level.

I found the best option was to hide behind the set of crates just infront of the hacking terminal. Zoom in on the garage and shoot as many of them as you can as the door opens up. This sort of halts them for a second, and as soon as you run out of your clip detonate a C4 right next to it to take out more of them. That sorts most of the trouble out.

You can then take out any more stragglers that come at you, but keep looking behind you for the garage that opens behind you. There are two guys and they like to throw a grenade as soon as they appear. So its best to try and be there to shoot them as soon as the garage begins to open.
 
Hardest bit in the game?

No-where near, the Dante level where you protect your guy hacking the computer in the theatre was insanely hard (well on Realistic)

Was until i put my team mate on the mounted gun.

I somehow glitched the bit the op describes, I threw smoke everywhere, my team mate got the gates opened, then running back down to the building I died. When it reloaded I was right next to the building with no enemy's, result!
