Only asking because I done a test with cpu-z before getting my new Corsair CMSO8GX4M1A2133C15 Value Select 8 GB (1 x 8 GB) DDR4 2133 MHz CL15 Mainstream SODIMM to make my laptop 12gb but after taking the Samsung module out and putting this news one in, cpu-z shows the latency timings to be worse so I was wondering which 8gb make is be best using to match the same speed as my soldered ram as I know I can only try and match that and not go faster.

The image of the first picture memory tab are still the same but the 2nd pic SPD tab are all higher, the ram did say it was CL15 but not sure if i'd be best sending it back and getting another to get the same speeds i had before?

I also noticed a bit of a difference in my new ssd crystaldiskmark score after installing the new ram as well, not sure if thats bad luck or something to with with it being dual channel with the old ram?

Seen this HyperX ram for sale, more or less same price that i paid for the corsair ram but its timing are fast, enough to downclock to the same as my system originally was, or does it not work like that?
I don't even know if it would work in my system, i don;t seem to have a way of doing a system scan with hyperx to see if its compatible but looks nice.

Thanks

Yes it's the jedec timings that are different but I'm not sure if that matters? The first pic you mean shows the same numbers with my original setup of 8gb and the same when I switch to the new setup of 12gb do does that mean the timings are the same regardless of the jedec timings?

the memory tab you are referring to that shows the same numbers for both sticks of ram 15-15-15-36 so from that does that mean they are both running the same speed yeh?
if thats the case thats great and i will keep the new ram i bought to make my laptop 12gb
