Hi,
I've had this problem for a while now.
In Win7, when looking at "Computer" (i.e. list of drives) my drive is listed as "DVD RW Drive (G: ) Audio CD" while there is nothing in it.
If I then insert a Video DVD this doesn't change and the contents are listed as "Track00".
If I then eject the DVD, the drive is now listed as "DVD RW Drive (G: )" in "Computer".
If I put the DVD back in now it reads it normally.
It is currently connected to one of the Intel SATA II ports. When I connect it to one of the ASMedia SATA III ports it seems to behave normally.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is it ok to connect DVD drives to the ASMedia ports? (I thought I read somewhere that they weren't designed for ATAPI devices).
Thanks.
