I have a rare cpu it was built into my targa oem system.
Its a newcastle core, and very little info is on the web. Has anyone overclocked one of these?
My main problem is the targa edition motherboard it has been restricted, so only slight increases can be made to it. its now over twelve months old and I am looking to upgrade some of the system full detail of the main system
The motherboard will go without a doubt as its too restricted. I will be looking at a good new main board Ausus have been my favourites in the past.
Processor
AMD Athlon64™ 3400+ with HyperTransport, 512KB L2 cache, Socket 939 , EKL super silent cooler (copper/ aluminium technology)
Software
XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 OEM Version*
Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9-TA (Targa Edition)
nForce4 Chipset PCI Express
1x PCIE (16x)
250 GByte Western Digital ® with 7.200 rpm, 8 MB cache, SATA connection, fluid bearing
Graphics
nVidia® Geforce 6645 Targa HighSpeed Edition (NV43) with Silent Pipe.
128 MB, Direct X9, Double Monitoring, PCI Express, Analog Out and DVI-I out, YUV component out, S-Video and composite out

I know the power supply is on the low side and I am waiting for the new nividia next gen gpu due out in the next two months as it will fullysupport direct x ver 10.
