Hi there,

I've recently got a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B that works great on my 32' Panasonic LED.

In the living room I have a LG 60' Plasma and for some reason the signal from the Pi is not getting through to the TV. It seems to boot up fine before the screen turns black with no option to do anything as there's no signal coming through. If I take the same Pi to the bedroom it boots up fine without issues.

Any ideas?

Cheers

My only thought on this is the Plasma does not support the resolution output of the pi.

I had this problem with my last telly (an old Toshiba LCD HD ready model) blank screen when any resolution apart from the ones it supported, I had to look in the manual & spec sheet to set the resolution on my PC monitor before unplugging & plugging into my old telly. A bit of a faff but it was the same result whether I used either HDMI or VGA.

with an older sharp lcd tv I always had to plug in the hdmi lead and turn the set top box driving it on, before the tv, to get it to work (or it may have been the other way around) - potentially an hdcp negotiation problem - but maybe the resolution per the previous post is the answer
