probably faulty mate... im the master of mice breaking on me. Normally means the USB connection is dead. Can you hear a noise when it turns on/off in windows?

Had the exact same problem with my 1 year old copperhead, it seems to be a common way of death for razer mice.

yep heard in background the usb sound going on off now died completly time for new mouse loking at razer krait.

I've had a few friends who had intermittent power issues with their diamondbacks/copperheads, They were replaced under manufacturers warranty though.

Its most likely the cable is starting to break at where it enters the mouse.
