rbe reports you have not connected the power cable to your video card

Hi i have a 4850 ive just installed the radeon bios editor and when i click aquire bios. In the power cable error message box it says:


you have not connected the power cable to your video card


i have checked and it is connect properly.

i was going to try and up the voltage and oc it a bit but im wondering why its reporting this error before i try to oc

It is part of the bios, in other words, it's the messge you will get if the cable is not connected.

I would suggest you have a complete read through ALL the help files before doing anything. Because by your question, you clearly are very new to doing this. That's not a criticism or anything, i just would not like to see you wrecking your gfx. You really should have a full understanding of what you are doing before altering then flashing a bios.
