I have always said you can't dismiss the french on their day, ever. Look at NZ.

As for cheering for you, being English as long as we beat you, I'd rather the French and Itias beat the rest of the 'Home' nations just for ****'s and giggles as they'd laugh at us if it was reversed.

Just a shame England didnt turn up for the last game, i suspect due to injury (hopefully with the world cup closing)

Well played Ireland. Englands attacking lines from set piece or slowish ball are too predictable and this needs to be addressed before the World Cup. England are relying on their open offloading game too much and when it doesn't work they look impotent. It's good to have a strength but they need to round out their game because teams have caught on and by slowing the quick ball England need effectively nullify the England game plan.

well I follow the England team even though I dont particularly like Rugby, dont follow club teams etc etc, same with the Test Cricket team

England were so awful yesterday - as soon as the commentator said " this is an easy kick for Flood" it was obvious it was going to miss.....and that led to Ireland extending their score, and England failing dismally

Ive followed a few of the England matches, and some have been really good wins (even against Scotland, where it wasnt easy - but got stuck in and got it done), but yesterday they just didnt seem to want it as much as Ireland
 
Congrats to Nursie's nightmares, winner of the OCUK fantasy league!

Only watched the England game in a pub in Rome full of Irish chaps so didn't really hear what was going on in the game! It was clear that we were outplayed in every department though.

I think we need a bit more physicality, particularly at the breakdown. I agree with what someone said earlier about we needing a Bakkies Botha type player to absolutely muller everyone in the ruck and clear it out properly.

Youngs and Ashton need to screw their heads on a bit. Throwing the ball away was stupid and I think the nudge on Reddan at the scrum deserved a yellow by itself due to his sheer stupidity.

On a side note, Ireland's back row is absolutely phenomenal, even with Ferris out I think they've got to have the best back row in world rugby at the minute.
