My new 3080 can hit 19k in timespy gpu score and exceeds my expectations in all games bar RDR2.

Most reviews show an average of 60-70 fps at ultra preset but I’m getting 49-52 fps regularly in wide open spaces and it feels jittery and stuttering. I have a g sync monitor and have v sync on in Nvidia control panel and have experimented with v sync on and off in the game settings. Any thoughts on what settings I should be using?

Have tried Vulcan and dz12

3800x and 32gb 3600 ram. Game installed on a nvme (boot) drive.

Thanks guys I’ll try those adjustments.

Forget to mention this is ‘obviously’ at 4K but looks like everyone got that bit anyway!

Having no issues here on a 6800 XT, but I find it runs faster using Vulkan than DX12.

Running at 5120x1440 everything at Ultra settings except tree tessellation off, water physics slider one notch below maximum.

One thing to check, if you alt tab out the game switches to borderless mode so check you are running in full screen mode.
Yes the whole alt tab thing was causing the game to CTD in DX12 and it’s ok in Vulcan but your right it switches to borderless!

My 2080 super couldn’t run this game that well so I played the Witcher 3 maxed out and waited for new tech to be my saviour. Now I want to play Cyberpunk but again am waiting (lol) and wanted to play RDR2 whilst I wait!

Check that you are running the game in the right mode. G-Sync is normally set for Full Screen mode, but some games default to Full Screen Window. If the game is defaulted to that then G-Sync will not be running.
That’s a very good point! Thankyou
