Just been watching some indoor atheletics on BBC1, and it's become apparent that female athletes on the whole are either becoming better looking, or deciding to wear more make-up.

Just an obvservation.

No, its just because three-fifths of the athletes you're watching are Swedish, Russian and Italian.

On a more serious note, are the female athletes more aware these days that if they can sell themselves (not in that way...!) and their image, they can make a lot more money through sponsorship etc?
