Re-install drivers going from 1070 to 1080ti?

As per the title do I need to uninstall all the drivers and re-install them? I normally would, however, when upgrading within the same architecture, is it necessary? What do others do?

To be safe I would use ddu to do a complete wipe. Then reinstall with latest drivers.

Absolutely, as above. Complete reinstall using DDU.

No matter what card you are going from and to I would use DDU to remove drivers and then reinstall
