Hi all,

Been trying to sell my Z4 to get something cheaper. I am sick of it eating nearly £800 a month out of my account and due to poor british weather not really enjoying it! The price the garages are giving me is a joke, they are offering £17000 for a car that is worth like £22000 and I only bought it 6 months ago for £23500.

I am thinking of a budget of up to £4500 with less than 50000 on the clock if poss. Dont really want a small car and has to have some poke. Needs to be fairly cheap to run and insure.

I have come up with the Mondeo or the vectra. Are there any others you can think of that are reliable etc, that i have overlooked.

Its a bit of a drop from a £23.5K Z4 to a £4.5k family sized wagon like a Mondeo or a Vectra.

Why the huge drop ?
 
I need to get on the housing market. I also have other priorities for my money. I have always spent money on motorbikes and cars. I now want to see a bit of the world and go on holiday lots so I want a cheap realiable car. Also I dont want a sports car anmore

They are always going to rip you off. Remember, they are there to make a profit and of course they won't offer you the full wack.

Sell it privately if you must.
 
I'd avoid eBay. Generally people go there to get a bargain so you won't get the full price compared to selling it on Autotrader.

I've recently been thinking of a 172/182. Yes I know its french.
 
Yeah I would like to sell it privately but I was worried about owing finance on the car. I can obviously clear the finance once I get paid for the car but not sure how many people will be interested
