I'd say around a 6-7 for me. In general I prefer Arcade style racers however I like them to have a decent driving 'feel' and for the best way of taking a 90 degree corner it not be keeping it floored and just bounce off the walls. Need for Speed: Porsche 2000 is a good example of the sort of game I like, not as full-on arcadey as many of the NFS titles but nowhere close to being a sim either.
When push comes to shove I'm definitely more tolerant of outrageous 'fun' elements (Burnout Paradise) than sims where a digital throttle makes it impossible to even drive off the start line without spinning out (SimBin).
