What is going on, i've managed to see all our games(dont ask how), why does Jenas get in this team he is **** seriously I cant see how he can play for anyone looking to finish in the top half, Davids is way past it, the guy plays so defensive!!, that left back is the worst player ive ever seen and what makes it worse is that he was so highly rated! by who Stevie Wonder!!

Ive had enuff of being a spurs fan today, I never thought I would say this, but its always so inconsistent with us, top 4 I reckon if we finish top 10 it would be an effort. What makes me mad is the lack of heart, passion, effort actually looking like they care, I can honestly say this team is 30% worse than last season and the reason is we got talented players like Murphy and Huddlestone who at least look like they want to play sitting the bench for Jenas and Davids, I mean we have a £8M Zokora on the bench!!!

Any spurs fan wanna disagree, this is woefull last year we were so hard to break down this year any team that turns up will beat us, I know its early but this is the premiership its 38 games and they all count.

Oh and heres a prediction we get knocked out to Slavia Prague 1st round...

A poor start to the season doesn't make you a bad team. I watched the highlights against Sheff Utd and for parts of that game Spurs were excellent, a joy to watch. A couple of poor performances at the start of the season shouldn't worry you too much, unless you're still playing like this in a month.

And at least your start to the season isn't as bad as Everton's last year ;)

Its not the losing that is annoying me its the lack of passion and imagination shown by the players like they are playing on a sunday league or something

im not a spurs fan but i agree with what you say. i went to see them on tuesday (mate had a spare ticket) and the first 45minutes i really enjoyed it,they played good football then when 2nd half came spurs seemed like a totally different team, they were really lay back and didnt really care.

that new signing ekkoto(sp?) is really really bad,i remember on tuesday some guy behind me said to his mate "martin jol must have signed the wrong player, this guy cant even play football". jenas is really really poor he does something wonderful and then mucks it up straight away. take the tuesday game for an example did good getting away from the Sheff Utd defender then he does the worst cross ever, everyone around me was getting annoyed at him.

There's a lot of expectation on Spurs after having such a fantastic season last year. A season where they only missed out on Champions League football on the last day of the season, with Davids and Jenas playing for most of the season!

Having said that, Spurs played dreadful today. It's the worst I've seen them play at home in well over a year. There was no drive and quite a few of our players looked off the pace of the game.

that left back is the worst player ive ever seen and what makes it worse is that he was so highly rated!

Assou-Ekotto? I've seen him play twice and he's looked very good.

I don't blame Spurs for taking their foot off the gas against Sheffield United in the second half. They were 2-0, comfortable and Sheffield weren't pressurising. Why knacker yourself out if you've got another game in a couple of days? Not that it helped us today. :p

Last season was great, but if you look at our league finish over the past five seasons we shouldn't think that we're a shoe-in for a European place.

I was going to post that, everyone who's seen him has been singing his praises...

unless he's on about Y.P.Lee?
from what i saw on Tuesday he didnt seem that good to be highly rated by Jol(who i think is a good manager).he had some good moves but his defending i thought was quite poor.then again time will tell if hes any good as its only early and he maybe hasnt settled into the premiership yet.

Why the panic?

We are 3 games into the season and still have another 35 to go :)

Yes we were poor today, yes I agree about Jenas but let's have this conversation after 10 games to get a better idea

Yeah im on about Ekotto the guy is scared to drive forward, he fouls way too much, cant play a pass to save his life its funny cuz ive seen all 3 games and he seems very poor to me, and why oh why is Zokora not playin??

Yeah i know its early and only 3 games in but I hate seeing players not try and ive been really dissapointed so far with the effort and Im sorry a 45min performance against Sheff Utd is not good, they are heading straight back down and dont look like they could trouble a 3 legged donkey....

Damn and yeah when we had Jenas last year he was on the left and coudlnt mess things up and didnt have to get stuck in and didnt have to be the playmaker..

Jenas was hardly ever on the left  It was always Davids or Teemu.

Yes we haven't started well but it's not panic stations yet :)

Dude, every team is got its ups and downs. Tbh lately, I have actually been finding Tottenham to be fairly nice team to watch. Its true that its partly to do with the fact that Im living about 30 min by bus from the stadium now, but its also because I see the club in the way I liked seeing Chelsea years ago i.e. not the absolute top but making the effort. Im only hoping that this is a bad start to ya...after all, arsenal isnt much different atm:)

i cant defend jenas never rated him. Davids is past it, but i think in zokora you have a great player. i think problem with totenham is they lack width, lennon is great prospect on right but there no left palyer whcih concerns me (now downing not joining)

i also am not a fan of berbatov, i think hes a highly overrated player, and defoe has no confidence at all which is a shame because on form hes a talented player.

missing king in defence to , davenport is way below standard imo, i haven't seen much of ekkotto to comment on him.

its your opinion and your entitled to it but surel;y his record speaks for itself...

an average of a goal every other game.. player of the year 3 years in a row.... bagged a few pre season for us and scored (albeit a tap in but they all count) on his home debut in the premiership. He is still adjusting to the fast pace so to score so early on is a fantastic achievement. Give the lad a chance will ya :D

Agree. Far too early to be pessimistic.

What we are really missing is Carrick's creativity and ability to start attacking moves. I feel we have players at the club capable of fulfilling that task but someone needs to step up/be assigned that role.

Also now with the addition of Mido, imo we have one of the best quartet of strikers in the league. Without further additions I still feel we are weak at right back and exceedingly lacking a left winger. In which case I would opt to play Mido as a left wing forward, in a sort of 4-4-2 come 3-4-3 formation.

Who knows who will join/leave within the next 48 hours though? Talk of Lee off to Roma, which would indicate Spurs were willing to splash 6million on the one season wonder from Wigan. Chimbonda and Martin Petrov would certainly solidify the team and finish the squad for the season. Without further additions I still think we have a squad capable of top 6.
