Hey all,

Just picked up this little beauty today and given the amount of tread left on the tyre I'm disinclined to replace it. Is it feasible to get something like this repaired? Anyone have experiences with doing so? I take it the portable repair kits I see in dealers are temporary affairs meant only to get you home?

I'd be definately taking it to a shop Sean!

Would rather someone trained take a look at it than chance it going bang on you.

Yep deffo pluggable, they will plug it from inside... don't attempt to use any DIY kits on it, will mess the hole up for the real repair.

Prolly will cost you £35 or so for the job, cheaper than a new type by a long way

£35? I paid £15 for plugging a loose tyre the other day

As long as it's not too close to the edge (this isn't) and depending on the type of tyre, it should be possible to plug it. Take it to any half decent bike shop and they should plug it for £15-20 loose, maybe an extra £10 if it's on the bike
