Can I get some recomendations for recent hip-hop albums, i'm a bit out of the loop at the moment due to massive work commitments and not sure what I should be giving a go, i'm pretty sceptical of reviews and prefer word of mouth recommendation. My hip-hop tastes are pretty picky, I like some mainstream, some undergroup, prefer mixtape kinda tracks, but would give most a go at the moment. To help with suggestions, 10 artists/ablums off the top of my head I love to death are...

Apathy - Eastern Philosophy
Mobb Deep - Deep In The Streets Mixtape
Bubba Sparxxx - Deliverance
Jurassic 5 - Jurassic 5
Fort Minor - Rising Tied / We Major Mixtape
Canibus - Rip The Jacker
Kano - Home Sweet Home
Nas - Most albums
Roots - Things Fall Apart
The Game - The Documentary

I like the kind of deeper stuff, but also the gangsta type stuff if i'm in the mood for it, however, I hate biggie, diddy, not all that keen on tupac tbh and most of the southern stuff bores me to hell.

Anyway, i've rambled enough...recommendations?

I've been listening to a lot of "old skool" lately:

Black Sheep - A wolf in sheep's clothing
Mantronix - Best of
EPMD - strictly business
Main Source - Breaking Atoms
Large Professor - LP

to name a few

edit/looking over the title again, I see I've totally missed the point of the OP :o

Sage Francis - Road Tested needs a mention. Awesome stuff. Even if it is a live album.
Atmosphere - You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having.

I've been told to mention Buck 65 - Secret House Against the World by a friend because he thinks it needs more attention. I don't like it much myself, but give it a whirl.
