I'm not sure that I quite captured the feel of the Cathedral, but it was stunning. It was quite a misty night and it was just mind blowing.

Unfortunately my camera is not a DSLR so it is a little 'noisy' and was hand-held for a long exposure - SONY DSC-F717

The only one that really works for me is the last one, I really like this type of framed shot, I would have gotten lower to the ground that way you could have gotten more of the church in view and the person would have had more bright light behind them... That said my current style is to try and take all my shots from low levels as they seem to give more impact.

Totally agree mate. Last shot is a winner IMO. Good composition, and well taken considering your circumstances.

I also really like shot 2 as well. I feel its the tree that does it for me. It breaks the lines of the shot sufficiently to make the shot really work. The contrast of your shots is also good as well is the overall composition. Given equipment more suited to the situation I would say its safe to say you have the eye for it. Nice shots indeed mate. :)

Thank you for your comments. Relying on rubbish bins and ye olde English walls do little to guarantee a good level :) I think the hardest part was attempting to find a level frame of reference from somewhere where there just aren't any.

The colour is correct too, I have not altered the images at all not even leveling. Was totally breathtaking!
