reco memory for a ga-x48-dq6

Hi all,

wounder if you could recomend some memory that works with the above board, i got "OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Reaper HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Edition Dual Channel DDR2" each stick will run fine on there own, but I am unable to get the ram stable using both to gether!

I have read and read loads of posts regarding advance memory settings, tread, precharge etc. volts are set correctly, timings are ok 4-4-4-15...

Think they may not be compatiable with the board.

Could someone be so kinds who has that board with 4gb ram , could you post the make and module of the ram your using.

Im running 8gb of corsair dominator at 1066 mem speed and its fine.

I have heard that ocz can have headaches with lots of boards.

Yes I am begging to think that the board is very sensative to ram...currently got 2gb (i need 4) corsair xms that was in my old system.

Did you have to set many options in the bios to get them to work or did they just work with the default ram settings

Worked with default settings as detected by SPD.
