Recommend extension cables for NZXT C1500

The cables which come with the NZXT C1500 are very stiff and not individually sleeved.
Reluctant to look for replacements but would entertain extension cables.

What is the recommended brand and is it safe to use an extension cable for 12vhpwr ?
