Recommend me a credit card

I'd have a look at the money saving expert site mate, good list of decent CCs there.

I do all my online purchasing with a CC but live by the rule if I can't cover it at the end of the month then don't buy it.
I agree with desires, so long as you keep it under control it'll up your credit score for when you're wanting the big things, loans, morgages etc.
 
Went for a Halifax All In One Card today and got a limit of £8800.
However it then said it takes 5-7 days to receive the paperwork to sign and then another 5-7 days to receive the card, I really needed to buy them before that :(

If your Tesco card earns 1 Clubcard point per £4, and you spend the vouchers in store you're effectively getting 0.25% back which is rubbish, and you only get 1 point for every full £4 you spend - if you spend £3.99 you get nothing, if you spend £7.99 you'll only get 1 Clubcard point.

You'd be far better off with a proper cashback card.

But if your weekly shop is done in Tesco then you get 5 points for every £4 spent.

No, the regular Clubcard scheme gives you 4 of those 5 points anyway. Pay with a cashback card and you get 4 points for every £4 spent + cashback.

The only bonus you get for using the Clubcard Credit Card at Tesco is when you get fuel - you earn 1 point for every £1 spent rather than 1 point for every £2 spent, but you can just use the credit card as your Clubcard and pay with a different card to get the extra points there anyway.
