I'm looking at building a new rig and i'm a bit out of the loop with the new boards and cpu's .

I've always used Asus boards as i like the features 2 bios settings for overclocking and being able to put the computer to sleep while you are downloading.

Do Gigabyte boards and MSI boards allow this to be done as well?

I've read that people are having issues with Asus boards?

I'm looking at spending around £130ish or a bit more if it's worth it.
I did like the look of this board Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3 Intel P67

I'm hoping someone can help me out please.

Cant say realy bad things about Asus P8P67 mobos, for me Pro version works perfectly,i just think that there is to many options,so people confused with parameters and seting them incorrectly, thats one problem
Another one,is that Asus selling more bobos comparing to GB and MSI,way more,so there is some kind of "more products-more problems" thing.
Overall,i dont think that GB or MSI P67 mobos is better than Asus, after all,its only matter of Bios updates.
As for your choice of GB UD4 B3 - very good board, have pleasure to play with it,and if it had vew more features,i would probably even swap my Pro to UD4
Anyway, you can easily pick UD4 - you wont regret it.Be sure its B3 revision tho...

I agree. I did have the Gigabyte UD4 Rev.B2 Mobo up until Wednesday but now I have swapped it for an ASUS P8P67 Deluxe Rev.B3. I had no problems (touch wood) with either board but decided to swap as my supplier had ASUS B3 in stock and for just £30 more thought it was well worth the extra. It also saved me waiting any longer for the swap-out.:D

Have an ASUS p8p67 pro and had nothing but problems (not the only one from what I've seen on here) sent it away to be fixed 3 weeks ago and been told probably another week or two till I may get it back. Gotta say I will never buy ASUS again

I have the Asus P8P67 Pro B3 and have had issues regarding random blue screens (at idle) even after 1 hour of Linx and 2 hours of gaming. It's a great board, but google "Asus P8P67 Pro random freezes" and you will find allot of threads about this issue. I think I'm pretty close to resolving however if I can't fix by the COP Sunday it's going back for a UD4.

Does the UD4 have any option like Al Nap
With AI Nap, users can instantly snooze your PC without terminating the tasks. System will continue operating at minimum power and noise when user is temporarily away. It keeps downloading files or running applications in quietest state while you´re sleeping. Simply click keyboard or mouse, you can swiftly wake up the system in few seconds.

Also been persuaded to get the UD4 after all the negativity towards the Asus boards. Finding anyone saying a bad thing about the UD4 is tough.
