recommend me some boots

I'm after some outdoor type boots I've browsed the Schuh website although they all seem really expensive and about £100. I don't really go for brands so all I'm interested in is a good sturdy boot that does'nt cost a bomb. Any recommend me some?

Mate bought a pair of used army boots, worn in so comfy. Well looked after too. Can't complain for a tenner! Dead comfy.

Have a look at Hawkshead, they do a good range of entry level boots.

A couple of mates of mine have them and reckon they are very good, I have a more expensive pair by Karrimor

I got a pair of Zamberlan Goretex boots here for £45 a while back. They have done me proud so far.

As for Army boots. Not as bad as most would think, the In-soles suck though. I did the Wolds Way in a pair

You should be able to get something decent for that price from the usual outdoor places. Do you want something waterproof and a bit rugged - or something more lightweight for general trail walking?

Rock and Run, based in the Lakes often have some good deals on their website. It depends if you are willing to risk buying something without trying them on first.
