I've been listening to a bit of classical music recently, and I'm rather enjoying it. However I know next to nothing about it. So it would be great if some of you guys could recommend me some, be it Handel, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, whoever. I'd certainly like to hear/ know what the most popular and highly regarded ones are. I know it's quite a broad time scale, but if you think it's good then I'd like to hear it.

I'd recommend The Enigma Variations by Elgar, really really nice to listen to.

Also check out Gustav Holst - The Planets. There's some good stuff in there, some of which you might recognise from TV/adverts.

Some of my fav individual pieces:

albinoni - adagio
rodrigo - concierto de aranjuez
barber - adagio for strings
j.s.bach - air on a g string
beethoven - moonlight and also his 5th symphony
mahler - adagio 5th symphony
rachmaninov - piano concerto no2 in c minor

Also check out the Ultimate guitar collection by Classical Guitarist John Williams

John Williams is awesome on a classical guitar.

I'll throw another name in: Villa Lobos, awesome guitar player. Classical / Spanish music.

Great choice.

Depends what you're looking for really. 'Classical music' is quite a broad term to use since there are so many different types. It's all a matter of personal taste really.

I like some of Katachurian's stuff as well as Rachmaninov and Beethoven. My favourite piano pieces were written by Chopin.

bit of rach specially the ones off shine the film.
also my fav think its dawn of man one where the trumpets horns blow at start like a gladiator entering a arena.
