Reuben: Biffy Clyro. They're all good, first album Blackened Sky is easiest to get into though. Also Hell Is For Heroes (definately the frst album, Neon Handshake, second's not a patch on it) and maybe Kinesis- download Everything Destroys Itself. And maybe And You Will Know Them By The Trail Of Dead, depending on what bits of Rueben it is that you like :) Madonna is the album to get, Source Tags is good but not as good.

MCR: The Wildhearts. PHUQ or Earth Vs for preference, or the anthology.

Can't speak for the others really. Clawfinger, maybe, for someone who likes Disturbed. Though there's a million bands with vaguely similiar sounds. Fear Factory don't sound all that much like Disturbed, but I think you'd like them. The album Demanufacture is probably the best intro.

Faith No More - King for a Day

cool album. bit of alternative metal sort of.

Never heard of it, but I wonder whether Jamiroquai pinched the title for their tune or it was just coincidence...

As to the subject, well as far as I know I don't listen to anything like the mob you mentioned Johanson. I would recommend though, to everybody, Genesis' early albums. Some amazing lyrics and music, many of the tunes being as much literary masterpieces as they are tracks on albums.

EDIT: Johanson...love the sig

Mmmmmmm...

May not fit in to "Exactly" what you may want, but try "A Perfect Cirlce".

They aren't around anymore and were a split of groups together, Tool, Marilyn Manson etc..
They are a more gothic mellow rock feel, a very very good listen even for a bass head such as myself lol.

The Sunshine Underground - Raise the Alarm

Can't reccomend this album enough, awesome

Going seeing them in Feb on the NME Rave Tour, can't wait :D

Wrong.

They were formed by Billy Howerdel (originally a guitar tech and worked with Tool in some way). Maynard has always been the singer and I think Josh Freese always played drums. The other places have been filled by various people including Paz lenchantin and James Iha, I'll let you take a wikilook for the rest.

A good band though, and definitely worth seeing live.

So i was right about being tool, i didnt mean off split though, i ment a band in conjunction with, very much like Corey Taylor and Stonesour etc..

They also used Twigey Rameriz who was in Manson, being thus right again

:p

The Thermals - The Body, The Blood, The Machine
Tokyo Police Club - A Lesson In Crime [EP]
Blood Brothers - Young Machetes
Young Knives - Voices of Animals and Men
Motion City Soundtrack - [The Second Album]
Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger
Art Brut - Bang Bang, Rock and Roll

Invest time in any of these albums and you will come up trumps. I have to say though, I'd encourage you to broaden your horizons and maybe hit up some more provocative music ala Joanna Newsom or as Spunj suggests, The Decemberists. Sufjan Stevens anyone? :)
