Recommend me some music (Rock/Metal)

i'm off on my Hols in a couple of weeks and need to get some new music sorted for my pod.

The following bands are some of my favourites so you have an idea of what to recommend:

36 Crazyfists
Godsmack
SOil
Disturbed
Diecast
Mudvayne
Faktion
Non Point
Killswitch
Onesidezero, etc, etc, etc...

Bands like Hatebreed, Inflames are just too heavy for me, I like a mixture of shouting and singing hence the above bands listed. I also enjoy bands with women singers (In this moment, Lacuna Coil etc), so I wouldn't rule them out. I listen to more mall rock like Trapt, 30 Seconds to Mars, Incubis, Three Days Grace so anything like this is appreciated too.

I'd recommend:
Sonata Arctica (power metal although last album was mostly prog.)
Rhapsody / Luca Turilli (symphonic style)
Nightwish (female lead, recently changed singers)
Within Temptation (female lead, similar to Nightwish/Lacuna Coil)
Stratovarius (Visions or Infinite are two albums I highly recommend)
Dragonland (Recommend Holywar).

Best thing to do is search youtube for some of the artists above and have a listen.

If you're looking for "Power Metal" which is closer to rock then Kamelot are pretty good too.

Coheed and Cambria, quite possibly one of the best bands i have ever heard.
Red Hot Chili Peppers, their older albums in particular.
Radiohead, maybe not quite rock, but certainly very good.

I definately second those suggestions, The Neon Handshake was a really great album which i cant recommend highly enough. Also checkout Rise Against - The Sufferer and Witness & Siren Song Of The Counter Culture.
