Recommend me some Westerns

Why not consider western Tv shows?

Classics such as The High Chaparral, The Bonanza, The Big Valley, Rawhide, Gunsmoke, The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams, Kung Fu, Laramie, The Virginian and Wagon Train. To name a few

The Magnificent Seven movies are still on my 'to watch' list, but if he has one then what about a box set of them all?

A box set featuring 'The Magnificent Seven', 'Guns Of The Magnificent Seven', 'Return Of The Magnificent Seven' and 'The Magnificent Seven Ride'.

Bloody hell, the OP must be my clone. Not only did he post for the exact same thing I was searching for, but he does it on the same day I come to look.

Nice one OP and thanks to everyone for your recommendations!

I keep seeing the following being mentioned in top ten lists. Anyone seen these below? Opinions?

The Searchers
High Noon

Both of those are classic westerns, both scoring over 8 on imdb if that makes any difference, definitely must watch movies for any western fan. :)

If you are going down that route then Lonesome Dove miniseries is the one to get. The 8 disc boxset collection is also a bargain.

Once Upon A Time In The West. I'm not a huge Western fan, but I caught this on Film4 last night when channel flipping and was hooked from start to finish. Brilliant film.

This.

If he already has the three Sergio Leone/Clint Eastwood films, then this one is a sure fire winner

Yep, "Once Upon a Time in the West" is essential for any Western fan's collection.

As is "Tombstone", if you ask me. It may be a more modern Western, but Christ it's fantastic.
