recommendation for 2:1

Im looking at using the onboard realtek Hd on my p8p67 mobo

can anyone point me to some recommended 2:1 speakers ?

I have a budget of around £120

the acoustic energy ones look good.

TBH, I think the Aego's are too good a speaker to be using with on-board audio. On-board audio seems fine for some people, and they have no need for a sound card. My argument against using on-board audio with good speakers is, if on-board audio is indeed deemed good enough by some, why bother with decent speakers that are capable of producing better sound than on-board audio can deliver?

Would someone buy a high quality Blu-ray player, only to connect it to a cheap no name HDTV? Not likely.

Xonar DS? You might also find something used, the cards are usually half priced on the Members Market (DX for £25-30 and such).

Just realised you can't access MM. That leaves you auctions or some cheaper alternatives.

Aego Ms are perfect for this price area. The 330D by edifier are also very good
