Hi,

We're staying in Manchester for a night away next week and looking for somewhere for an evening meal.

We've booked El Gato Negro as it stands, but we're wondering if anyone has any recommendations for anywhere else? We'e staying at Hotel Gotham, so we're pretty central.

Any type of cuinese really, but not Hawksmoor (we were there a couple of months ago).

We're going to Cocktail Beer, Ramen + Bun for Lunch the day after which has been has been highly recommended by a couple of friends.

CBRB is very good but expensive for what it is IMO.

My favourite places to eat in town are (wide range of cuisines/price brackets coming up) Mr Cooper’s, Bundobust, Siam Smiles and Red Chilli. I’d have added The French but you may not get a table at short notice, and Hawksmoor since you’ve already been.

The best meals I’ve had have been at relative hole in the wall restaurants (Marhaba and Pho No1) but they’re not really dining destinations.

Hispi and Angkor Soul are my favourite places but both are a mooch out of town (Hispi less so).
