Recommended 16:9 camcorder?

Hi

I'm looking for a MiniDV camcorder (must have Firewire in/out and preferrably AV in/out) which records in full resolution 16:9. I've been trying to find reviews of recent camcorders but there aren't that many at the moment.

I currntly have a Canon MVX150i which has started deteriorating in picture quality and reliability. I've been looking at 3CCD camcorders like the Panasonic GS500. I've also seen that Canon have a number of new camcorders with full resolution widescreen... MVX460, MVX4i etc.

I would appreciate any advice for these as I can't find any reviews.

What kind of price range are you thinking of??

Up to about £600... maybe £700. If possible, I would probably buy cheaper from Hong Kong.

It's not 3CCD but my Sony HC39E records in native wide screen. You'd need the next one up for DV-IN the HC42E although I think they have newer versions out now.

Don't be put off by how cheap they are, it's a very very good camcorder.
