Record an internet radio stream?

I'm assuming you're using a PC....Hasn't Windows media centre got a recording option? Change the computers audio input settings and it should work? :)

Sorry, not very helpful. I haven't used a PC properly in years.

Any web browser will save a direct stream to a file as long as you get the correct URL. You then just hit stop when you want to stop downloading the stream.

Personally I use StreamRipper, a plugin for Winamp.

+1 Works really well. Titles all the individual songs too iirc. I used it when a festival was going to was broadcasting a "who's playing" playlist, so I got a few cd's worth of songs easily to check out.

Many thanks for this - couldn't get Audacity to work, but streamripper seems to be a good one!

I absolutely love Audacity, great wee program. I've had a few problems getting it to record though but it was down to the wrong settings with my sound card etc. but once you get it working, it is good.

I have an iphone, just not a constant connection!

It's been recording all day (streamripper) and looks perfect!
