So let me get this right... We can kill cows , pigs , fish and other animals just fine but you deserve to die for killing a alligator..

Killing for food and survival is far different to killing something just to use its corpse as an ornament don't you think?

Taxidermy doesn't use the whole corpse, meat and all. It strips the skin away, puts it over a stuffed wire (or similar) frame and makes it look 'real' again. While not implicitly stated in the article, to use it as an 'ornament' would simply mean not wasting the skin... There'd still be a hell of a lot of meat left over going spare, and given its price no doubt to be sold for consumption. All I'm saying is, it's not that clear cut.

Gustave is the largest nile crocodile, larger crocs have been spotted around Australia.
