As above, using it for all items improves your credit rating as they see you run up a bill and pay it off each month, plus you have added security, I got cheated on ebay last year and didn't even bother with a paypal dispute just instructed my credit card company to recover the money. Its more power to you
How did your paypal account react to this action?
I ask as i had a similar one earlier in the year, and wasnt sure whether to instruct Amex or Paypal. In fear of amex withdrawing the money from paypal, and then paypal simply sticking my account into the red, i thought best to stick to paypal.

Well visa took the money back off Paypal and then Paypal took it back from the scammer I guess. Paypal are a big daunting entity but they are nothing compared to visa/mastercard/amex so they are not going to mess them around. Its like having somebody in your corner to fight your battles for you

My concern was that Amex would refute the transaction, Paypal would be forced to pay Amex back, then my paypal account would simply be stuck into the red. I'd then be stuck with paypal chasing me to zero my (now overdrawn) account.
