Well yeah, but you end up with a neck like a draining board. Sadly my son is a great fan of technically amazing guitarists who are all (in my opinion) boring - Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen and his favourite John Petrucci. All extremely talented musicians, but their music just leaves me cold.
