Hello all. I am trying to set up a recording loop with my old Audigy 2. I suspected it might be awkward but still hope it may be possible.
Basically, the aim is to be able to send a sound out of my computer live and record the same signal back into it, via outboard effects processors. The card can do this, but the issue I have is that it seems to only record when the line input (actually analogue connector) is unmuted on the creative mixer. Naturally, this means that the output keeps feeding back, resulting in either a feedback tone at high levels or very 'phasey' recordings if the levels are lowered.
What I want is the sound to go out, through the effect then be recorded, but the recorded sound to NOT be outputted by the computer, ONLY recorded. I don't see why this should be impossible, but I can't get it to work. Maybe there is more advanced creative mixer software?
Any help appreciated!
