Rightyo..

Whats the best solution for a mac AND pc user wanting to record gameplay from a newer hdmi model 360?

Ideally i'd still like to play on my TV rather than monitor but suggestions welcome.

Hit me up :p

P.S If a mod happens to read this can you please email me via trust. I'd like to change username but had no response from anyone. Ta!

Hmm , Mac & Pc capture card with an HDMI input.
Not much you're asking for there :p

I'll have a think :)

I'm not totally against just PC or just Mac but it'd be nice to have the support.

As long as I can record HD without interference to my gameplay, ie lag because of recording then thats fine.

:o .. Simples.

You only need an hd capture card if you are looking to stream / capture in HD otherwise an SD card will do.

I would do my research thoroughly as many of the hd cap cards have issues like the one above.

I think the black magic intensity pro is the best of a bad bunch though but they cost a lot maybe better off going for a cheaper sd card.

Tell me what you want your name changed to via trust.

You obviously didn't email the important people like me :p

Crikey

All seems a tad over complicated. I'm only really after 720p.

The hauppage pvr looks the best, using that and a hdmi to component lead would work - I think.

Blackmagic Intensity Pro I have experience with this card and its the best of its kind.

Not really. The MJPEG compression it uses is lesser quality than the H264 compression on the Hauppuage HD PVR.

And capturing uncompressed isn't very feasible, 720p is 100MB+/sec.

Whoever captured that screwed it up. It's running at 25 fps and ghosting.

If it was real ghosting, surely it would happen during action shots. When his opponent is on screen. Which i dont see and i have the video running on my 32", fullscreen

I didn't capture it but have never really noticed any ghosting on it either, can't check right now though.

Think what you like. The still frame clearly shows it is.

Normally a result of capturing progressive footage as interlaced. Or resampling the frame rate in some crazy fashion.
