Anyone sat the exam recently? Looking to go an sit RHCSA next month in Bristol. I've had no experience of RHEL however I've been administering Solaris 2.6 through to 10 for 6 or so years so I think I'll be alright.

Got myself a book of Amazon and I've downloaded the ISO to put on my server. Any tips at all?

I hope your book is for RHEL7 not for RHEL6 as the content of the exams has changed quite a bit and a lot of things within the OS have changed as well.

I did it on RHEL6 RHCE a couple of years ago, will do my RHEL7 later this year when I have some more hands on time with it. When I did the RHCE you did the RHCSA in the morning and then the RHCE exam in the afternoon (assuming you didn't have the former) and the RHCSA wasn't that bad but you really needed to know the syllabus as you didn't have time to sit and work things out and if you didn't know something you were basically screwed as you were blocked from doing further chunks of the exam (it's all hands on).

I don't know how many people on my instance pasted, I strongly suspect from what they said some failed, and listening to the people just doing the RHCSA exam at least 50% of those failed too.
Thanks. It's this book I've got:

Reading it now, just building the server. I think I'm only going to do RHCSA, there's no mention of it being a dual exam.

Not sure this link will work.

Just going through the first chapters, very easy going so far. I've booked the exam for the 17th July, just have to wait for Red Hat to call me to get my CC details to pay. Cheers for the tips. :)

I'd rather self learn as I'm a contractor. If I went on a course I wouldn't be able to invoice for those days. Unless it's an interactive evening type of course?
