Just noticed last night i get a flash of red LED at the power end of my X1800xt.I've never saw it before and i do have some issues with stuff actually being hit or miss if it loads up.

Can anybody shed some light on what the LED is for?

Never seen an LED on my old x1800, may just be to let you know that its working ok like they have on mobos, if you get a problem with your card then it will probably stay on, so as long as it just flashes, its ok.:)

My system is like a christmas tree on post though. 4321 red led lights for the mobo, orange led for ram....some other orange led..

I sympathise with you, i really do. :(

When i got the red led's on my x1800 i found that it was the mobo that was faulty and not the card itself.

Dunno what yours means though if it was just flashing.
