Only because I would try to forgive A, don't know if I could, but i would try.
 
3 months into our relationship, my then girlfriend, now wife, got off with a random on a night out. She confessed and I forgave her. That was 9 years ago.

I'd struggle with option B, because the way it's phrased suggests it goes on for a while, in a conspiratorial sort of way. It would depend very much on what was said about it when she confessed.
 
I'm really not sure to be honest, if you had asked me 20 years ago my answer would have been "see ya later, we are done" to both questions, but 15 years of marriage that has seen my wife put up with my Forces career, almost losing me to the Iraq War, spending several years helping me rehabilitate and gain full fitness after serious injury, at the same time as raising our Son and holding down a highly regarded profession occupation, I would say that she deserves all the forgiveness I could muster and more.

The 'best' friend however, would have been dog-meat 20 years ago and dog-meat now...
